The Twin Tone Horn ensures with its 123,5 db (measured at a distance of 1 meter) that you get the necessary respect and that you won't be overlooked.
The horn is perfect for motorcycles because it is small and easy to install. Because of its E-approval mark it is street legal in the EU.
We offer also a mounting kit for the Twin Tone Horn. This mounting kit consists of a stainless steel mounting fitting for your BMW R1250RT and the necessary ready-to-install wiring and must be ordered separately.

Optionally, you can install a fuse at the plus cable between the battery and the relay (part no. 852863).

Doesn't work for models with alarm system if the alarm system uses the original horn!

The BMW R1250RT (2021- ) will be available with a double fanfare - so that our two-tone horn can be installed, the complete holder for the two horns must be removed. The assembly of our two-tone horn is then carried out according to the installation instructions, the cable for the second horn remains.

Questions about this article

How do I check if my alarm system uses the original BMW horn?
You can check this as follows:
Pull the cable of the horn (that the horn doesn’t work anymore)
then start the alarm.
If you hear the alarm sound, than it has its own speaker, then you can use this horn.

The horn touches the steel braded hose during deflecting. What can I do?
This is no problem because the steel braided hose is designed to meet these requirements. If you still have concerns, you can for example use a spiral band (part no. KS15) to protect the steel braided hose.

Do I have to consider anything else after having mounted the horn?
Yes. Please make sure that water does not stay inside the horn (e.g. after washing the motorcycle). Otherwise the function of the horn cannot be guaranteed since it might be damaged by the water.

What is the difference between Wolo Bad Boy and Nautilus Stebel?
The Wolo Bad Boy (11690120) needs only 14A to reach full loudness, the Nautilus Stebel (11690120s) needs 18A. A standard motorcycle battery has usually about 12-14A.
